Miljoona Rock Restaurant

The relaxed and cosy Miljoona Rock Restaurant on the Department Store side of the Market Street offers a welcoming setting and an extensive menu for the whole family. All the meals on the menu have been cooked from Kyläkauppa’s own recipes, and at the core of the menu are hefty burger dishes. We also have other dishes to cater for every taste: chicken wings, pizza, steaks, and salads. Our restaurant has 63 seats and is licensed, and in the summertime we also have a terrace. The kitchen closes and the last call comes 30 minutes before closing time. When designing the surfaces of the restaurant, our inspiration came from a rock event organized by Kyläkauppa, which also gave the restaurant its name. While enjoying a delicious meal, you can look at the photo collection on the restaurant walls, which features Finnish and international stars from the Miljoona Rock events. Miljoona Rock has been organized 12 times, and there has been an impressive number of artists captured in tens of thousands of photos by Kyläkauppa’s photographers. A part of the vast photo collection is displayed at the Miljoona Rock Restaurant. While enjoying great food, it is fun to spot familiar artists from the photos – your table can compete on who can recognize the most artists and bands from the photos. In the Miljoona Rock and Mini Miljoona Rock events, over 50 bands or artists have performed, some of them several times. A list of the performers can be seen on the wall next to the bar. Vesa Keskinen has received birthday presents from the famous Finnish band HIM: a guitar on his 40th birthday and a large HIM Heartagram painting on his 50th birthday. Both are on display at the restaurant and can be admired by the customers.
