Events
Kyläkauppa is known for its various events. There are hundreds of big and small events organized in the Kyläkauppa area every year. One of the most anticipated events is the Miljoona Tivoli fair which takes over the yard every summer. The events attract thousands of people to Tuuri to enjoy Kyläkauppa’s unique atmosphere.
Miljoona Tivoli
Tivoli Sariola brings its amusement park rides to Kyläkauppa and turns into the most anticipated highlight of the summer, Miljoona Tivoli, which offers fun and joy for the whole family. There is no entrance fee to the funfair area.
Riemu Park
Riemu Park at Kyläkauppa is Finland’s biggest free indoor playground. Riemu Park is intended for children under 10 years old. It is open every day from 10am to 8pm, without any restrictions on playing time.
Moomin Playground
Finland’s biggest Moomin playground in the front yard of Kyläkauppa’s Department Store is free and open every day year-round.
AKU PARK
In the Department Store, children can have fun in the free and exiting 80 m² adventure course: Donald Duck -themed AKU PARK.
Summer Train
In the summertime, Kyläkauppa’s customers have the chance to enjoy a peaceful ride on our Summer Train. This free-of-charge, unique experience takes you from the Department Store to Hotel OnnenTähti, from there to Caravan Site Onnela, Garden Centre, Miljoona Tivoli, and back in front of Kyläkauppa. You can hop on the Summer Train from any stop, if there are seats available.
The train schedules are at the stops during the summer season.
Miniature Golf
Our Miniature Golf course on the banks of the Tuurinjoki river offers a nice change of pace from shopping. Miniature Golf is a fun way to spend a summer day with family or friends. It is also popular among daycare and school groups, and in the summertime there are a lot of bachelor party groups.
Skatepark and pumptrack
A public skatepark maintained by the town of Alavus is located in the Kyläkauppa event area. Next to it is pumptrack course, opened in the summer 2021.
